Main Street America’s New England Region Named ‘2019 Region of the Year’
For the fourth consecutive year, The Main Street America Group’s six-state New England Region, headquartered in Keene, N.H., has been recognized as the company’s 'Region of the Year.'
The annual award, which honors Main Street America’s top-performing region as measured by combined ratio and written premium growth, recognizes the region’s sales and underwriting teams. In 2019, the region – which encompasses Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont – posted strong growth and combined ratio results.
"The New England Region, our largest by premium volume, was our top performer again, consistently achieving profitable growth," said Sarah Bourdeau, Main Street America’s head of sales. "The region’s performance is a testament to their professionalism and ability to focus on Main Street America’s long-term success."
"We have professionals on our team who are as knowledgeable and work as hard as anyone in the industry here in New England," said Steve Berry, regional president. "This has helped our New England Region win 'Region of the Year' six of the last seven years. "I am so proud of our team and the effort they put forth each and every day for our agency customers and insureds," added Berry. "Our people are the reason for our sustained success. They never stop taking care of the independent-agent customers we serve and that’s what keeps us top of mind in the marketplace."
